In 2021, I went through IVF to try and conceive and in doing so saw just how many pregnancy tests women used. Yes, the number was huge, but what was more shocking was just how much plastic was in something that was literally used for only 5 minutes.
That realisation sparked the creation of Hoopsy — the world’s first 99% paper-based pregnancy test. Since founding Hoopsy, I have launched the product in the UK (July 2022), built a subscription-based fertility club, and developed a companion mobile app that lets users scan and interpret their test results in seconds.
